Respirell is a product containing hydrolysed fish collagen and a water-saline mixture. It is the result of Italian research.
It has been studied to aid the restoration of the interior of the nasal cavity, preventing and treating different problems that can affect the upper airways. The collagen found in Respirell undergoes a chemical-biological procedure (hydrolysis).
Thanks to its formulation, it can be used in the following conditions:
- Allergic rhinitis;
- Irritations (cold, rhinopharyngitis and rhinosinusitis);
- Night-time snoring;
The integrity of nasal mucosa
Continuity in nasal mucosa is crucial to maintaining the airways’ homeostasis, protecting the organisation against exposure to antigens. Epithelial integrity is affected in allergic rhinitis, asthma and in disorders of the gastrointestinal system and the skin.
Damage to the nasal barrier are linked to severe, chronic inflammation of the airways. Restoring the integrity of the barrier is important for successfully treating allergic conditions.
The role of collagen
Collagen is a non-mineral element found in our bodies. It can form a marked barrier, helping the organism to re-establish itself after attacks from external agents. When spread over a biological surface, it creates a film that prevents external particles from adhering, at the same time aiding any microlesions to heal.
Hydrolysed fish collagen (gelatin), hydroxyethyl cellulose, glycerine, sorbitol, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, EDTA calcium disodium, sodium benzoate, potassium sorbate, aroma, purified water.
